Materials and non-materials

That is a controversial balance – well displayed in CELADON PANIC ROOM video – which Nero explores by experimenting with new techniques and approaches and by matching vital symbolic materials with destructive nihilistic frenzy.
CELADON PANIC ROOM
Nero/Alessandro Neretti
his is a short video, a photographic piece which includes a bit of sculpture and a bit of mania. I had made a large series of works using the Celadon technique, (a traditional Korean ceramic technique), where I tried to represent as many of the techniques as possible and in so doing, creating a ‘lacking Celadon’ ‘panic room’ where one can escape to. During the production of the pieces I was so stressed, (physically and mentally), that by the end I wanted to smash it all up.
